heck, if it's one thing i've learned about moving from chicago to peoria, it's that all the guys you meet that aren't plastered all over the internet and tv, even some that just teach out of their basements, are some of the most knowledgeable, most respectable, most dangerous people i've ever met. the bjj guys here in peoria are very much on the level.

there are several reputable bjj instructors in the peoria/bloomington area. you should call or stop by the schools to find out more about instructors, qualifications and so forth.
if you need or desire specific bjj lineage in your instructor it's best to do your research, i.e. investigate!
there are some really good bjj guys around here but please remember that just because someone trained under a "known" bjj instructor does not mean that they will be better than another. if that make sense.
train because of the knowledge, not the name.
cheers!
